This is my report from the Kite master in Tenerife:

The wind was pretty strong during all this week of contest.
I’ve been riding on my 10m vegas most of the time, cause I waned to go big for the board off part.
There is 70% for the hight of the tricks and 40% technical difficulty, you score only on your four best moves (two new school and two hold school).
The Kite master is very typical because of his Robin Elimination system: Every riders will meet each other one time and score points.

For my it’s been good so far cause I advance all my heats and I managed to get 12 points (the best score of this comp).
Then I went into the semi final against Ariel CORNIEL from Dominican Republic, not a very big deal cause my level on hold school moves was much higher.
So finally made it to the final against Youri ZOON, it’s been a very exciting heat the wind picked up just before the heat and I was very lit on my 10m.
I made some nice maneuvers and I advanced on the hold school moves but he did some nice power moves and he score more on the overall.

So I end up 2nd at this event, I’m very happy!

What to remember on this Kite Master in Tenerife:
-I scored the most points on this event
-My victory against Kevin LANGEREE with a nice and powered backmobe 7
-An amazing show for the people on the beach watching me go big on hold school maneuvers

Voici mon compte rendu sur la compétition Kite Master organisé par le PKRA a Tenerife (ile Canaries):

Tout d’abord je tiens a rappeler le principe d’un kite master (organiser par le PKRA mais qui ne compte pas pour le classement générale du championnat du monde):
Seulement quatre figures seront compter ( deux saut en hauteur avec nofoot « hold school » et deux saut aile basse en puissance « new school »)
Pour les saut « hold school » la notation est la suivante 70%hauteur du saut et 30% difficulté technique.
Cet événement est particulier car il n’y a pas de simple et double élimination mais un Round Robin Elimination où tout les riders vont ce rencontrer au moins une fois.
Ala fin de ce Rond Robin les quatre riders qui ont le plus de point passent en semi final.

La majorités des meilleurs compétiteurs du PKRA étaient au rendez vous (Youri ZOON, Alberto RONDINA, Alvaro ONIEVA, Sebastien GARAT, Ariel CORNIEL…) et surtout le grand retour du Champion du monde 2009 apres un ans d’arret après une blessure au genoux.

Durant tout le long de cette compétition le vent fut fort avec des rafales a 25/30 noeuds.
J’ai utiliser ma 10m pour pouvoir prendre beaucoup de hauteur sur les saut hold school.

J’ai gagner tout mes heats ce qui ma permit de me classer premier avec 12 points et passer en semi final direct.
A noter ma belle victoire contre Kevin LANGEREE avec un backmobe 720, manœuvres très difficile surtout dans ce vent fort et irrégulier.
En Semi final je tombe contre Ariel CORNIEL un dominicain de très bon niveau, je gagne haut la main grâce a mon expérience en nofoot.
Pour la final J’affront le leader du tour PKRA en ce moment Youri ZOON, un heat très serré avec de bonne manoeuvre dans les deux camps malheureusement Youri l’emporte sur l’overall avec plus de manœuvre New School.

Je termine donc 2eme de cette compétition ici a Tenerife!
Je suis super content de ce résultat.

La prochaine étape du circuit mondial PKRA ce déroulera en Allemagne du 20 au 28 aout.
